Nicholas' 15 Month Update

Last week Nicholas had his 15 month appointment with his new pediatrician. He is doing great and is in the 50th percentile across the board for height, weight, and head circumference. He is 30 1/2 inches tall and 23 lbs., 14 ounces. He is as sweet as ever, but has his fair share of tantrums too. Sometimes we can't help but think his tantrums are cute...

He has been thinking he is king lately. Here is a video of his favorite position while eating, with his leg on the table. What am I going to do with him?!? We're enjoying every minute...

We have been keeping very busy in our new spot, here is a picture of Nicholas in Central Park last Friday. We went to the huge sand box and Nicholas enjoyed stealing others' toys! We got to meet Chris and have lunch in the park. It was a very nice day!

Happy Birthday G.G.!

My Gram, also known as G.G. to her four great-grandchildren, had a birthday yesterday. Nicholas can actually say "G.G." and when he sees her picture he calls her by name. We were lucky enough to have breakfast with her on her birthday! She is everything that is wonderful and is always so much fun to be around! I think I can speak for all of her eight adult grandchildren in saying that we were so lucky to have grown up with such an involved Gram in our lives. She always left me hoping that I could be a strong as her when I grow up, that's a lot to live up too...

It occurred to me that I don't think I have any pictures of Gram with her all of her grand kids and great-grand kids. I guess it's hard to get all together at the same time. I hope we an eventually get one!

A few Pictures from Easter Weekend

Here are some pictures from Easter weekend. On Saturday our building had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Unfortunately, it was raining but the little ones had fun searching for the eggs in our building's playroom. Nicholas had a good time playing, but wasn't neccesarily searching for eggs. I'm sure next year he'll be much more interested.

On Sunday afternoon we drove down to my Aunt Jeanne's for dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt with Lucas, Aiden, and Tyler. We had a great time with everyone, and of course Nicholas enjoyed all of his Easter treats from Grammy, Aunt Jeanne and Aunt Spannetti.

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Husband!!!

Today is Chris' birthday and we had such a great day, the weather was perfect and he even got to fish (out front) which is very important to Chris on his birhtday! We are both looking forward to the day he can take Nicholas fishing; me for a break, and Chris for an unconditional companion (I hope Nicholas likes it or we're in trouble!). I have to say that without exaggeration Chris is the most loving husband and father anyone could ask for. He is truly my best friend and so much more! I will spare any more emotion but I am so happy to be sharing my beautiful life with you and I know Nicholas adores you more than any son could. XOXOXO

Those are two happy boys eating cake!
We took off Nicholas shirt ahead of time to avoid a mess, but it was inevitable :)!

Move Update

The move has gone great and I would say we are about 95% settled. We are just waiting for our blinds to come in and other than that, we're dialed. We finally got the Internet turned on! We love it here are are definitely embracing this change with welcome arms. I think it was a change we needed even though we hadn't realized. Nicholas absolutely loves all of the options of things to do and so do I. Chris' job is going well too. Here are a few pictures of our new area, more detailed update soon to come!

St. Patrick's Day at our new place. Nicholas eating meatballs, after all, St. Patrick was Italian too.

Living room shot

This is our night time view of Manhattan. Chris thinks these pictures stink, but it is all I have for now.

Nicholas on our balcony...

City boy taking a nap in the park...

Why can't I make friends that easily?

Nicholas is the indoor play area located inside of our apartment building, how great is that?

Right outside of our building on the promenade located on the Hudson River. There is a marina too which connects us to Liberty State Park.

Obviously, these pictures do not give justice to how great our neighborhood and building are. That's why you have to visit to see for yourself!

Grandpop

I just wanted to have something on here to remember my grandpop who passed away the week after we moved. His passing is a huge upset, as he was a remarkable man; but it is also a blessing because he is no longer suffering. I will never forget our great memories and I am so happy he was able to make it to my wedding three years ago this month. He was always the life of the party, but he was also the most intelligent and passionate person I have ever known. He loved his Phillies, he loved his Eagles and he loved his politics! I have a smile on my face as I remember him! I am so glad that Nicholas had the pleasure of meeting him! He will be missed!
